PORT CHICAGO MEMORIAL
THIS MEMORIAL HONORS THE 320 SAILORS AND CIVILIANS WHO WERE KILLED AT PORT CHICAGO WHEN THE SHIPS THEY WERE LOADING WITH AMMUNITION AND BOMBS EXPLODED. THIS RESULTED IN THE LARGEST DOMESTIC LOSS OF LIFE DURING WORLD WAR II.
