THIS MEMORIAL WAS DESIGNED BY SCULPTOR JOHN PAULDING AND IS CALLED “OVER THE TOP.” IT IS VERY SIMILAR TO SCULPTOR E.M. VIQUESNEY’S “THE SPIRIT OF THE AMERICAN DOUGHBOY.” BOTH ARE OFTEN CONFUSED FOR THE OTHER.
