THE DEEDS OF THE FALLEN WHOSE NAMES APPEAR UPON THIS MONUMENT ARE RECORDED ON THE PAGE OF HISTORY WORTHY THE LAND OF WASHINGTON BRAVELY THEY FOUGHT TO MAINTAIN THE PRECIOUS INHERITANCE OF OUR FATHERS, COMING GENERATIONS WILL BLESS THEIR MEMORY.
