VETERANS WAR MEMORIAL OF TEXAS
The Veteran's War Memorial of Texas is being built on five acres adjacent to the City of McAllen's new 50 million dollar Convention Center at 29th Street and Galveston, McAllen, Texas. This historical and educational Memorial honors the 1.3 million American men and women killed and missing in all the wars and conflicts of this Nation.
The purpose is to provide an educational, cultural, and historical facility to assist future generations, especially children, to learn about the sacrifices of those who died in the service of their country, the value of their legacy, and the important lessons which must be learned from those sacrifices.
