MEDAL OF HONOR SERGEANT JAMES H. HARRIS WAR MEMORIAL PLAQUE
he President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Sergeant James H. Harris, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism on 29 September 1864, while serving with Company B, 38th Colored Infantry, in action at New Market Heights, Virginia, for gallantry in the assault.
